About The Position
Join the Senior Helpers - Lafayette Team! Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference every day? Senior Helpers - Lafayette is looking for compassionate, dependable Caregivers and CNAs to provide one-on-one, in-home care to seniors in Church Point, Rayne, Crowley, Kaplan, and New Iberia. If you enjoy building meaningful relationships and helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes, we'd love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of caregiving experience (professional or personal caregiving experience is preferred)
- CNA certification is encouraged but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation with proof of insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
- Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
- Performing light housekeeping and laundry
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with walking, transfers, and mobility
- Transporting clients to appointments or errands when needed
- Observing and reporting changes in clients' physical or emotional condition
- Documenting care provided according to company policies
