Requirements
- Compassionate and genuinely enjoy helping others
- Dependable and committed to their scheduled shifts
- Responsible and comfortable working independently in a client's home
- Respectful of each client's dignity, privacy, and individual needs
- Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and members of the care team
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Willing to follow care plans, company policies, and client-specific instructions
- Able to meet all applicable employment and client-care requirements
- Caregiving experience required
- CNA certification required for CNA positions
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Toileting and incontinence care
- Mobility and transfers
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Medication reminders, as permitted by applicable regulations and the client's care plan
- Light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Providing companionship and meaningful interaction
- Following the client's individualized care plan
- Observing and communicating changes in a client's condition to the appropriate team member
- Promoting the client's dignity, independence, safety, and well-being
