About The Position

This role involves providing care to clients in their homes. The cases can range from 4 to 12 hours at any time of the day, evening, or night. The position requires a reliable and effective team player with the ability to be self-directed and show initiative in client care. Critical thinking skills without direct supervision and the ability to escalate issues when appropriate are essential. An understanding and empathetic attitude towards clients and families is crucial. The role also involves good housekeeping and home management skills, including meal and snack preparation according to the care plan, which may include specialized diets. Good communication skills and a helpful attitude are necessary. The ability to use computer software and a smartphone for education, scheduling, and documentation is required. The caregiver must represent the company professionally and maintain effective relationships with clients and office staff. A current and valid Driver’s License in good standing, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are mandatory.

Requirements

  • Two years of continuous work experience
  • One year of previous patient care experience
  • Current and valid Driver’s License in good standing
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to use computer software program and smart phone for required education, scheduling and care plan documentation
  • Skilled in providing basic personal care functions
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically without direct supervision
  • Understanding and empathetic attitude toward client and families
