Requirements

At Least One Year of Professional Caregiving or Nursing experience
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to provide professional references
Driver’s License
Auto Insurance
Reliable Transportation
Ability to lift 25lbs
Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to get to know their patients, build personal rapport and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing patients’ enjoyment and comfort.
Initiative so they can make independent decisions when required and accept direction and requests from patients.
The ability to follow instructions but also act independently if necessary.
Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently.
Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments.
Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs

Responsibilities

Provide care support and assistance to our older adult clients to ensure their needs are met and they have a positive experience
Help clients with bathing, getting dressed, brushing teeth and grooming
Support with toileting activities and incontinence care
Prepare meals and help with grocery shopping
Help with laundry, light housekeeping and making beds
Perform transfers using Gait belt and using mechanical devices
Attend trainings and complete continuing education as required
Travel to assigned patient’s homes and manage their care plan according to physician’s instructions.
Assess and chart observations of the patient’s condition at each visit.
Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs.
Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress.
Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient.
Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care.
Recommend tools or devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient.
