About The Position

Right at Home is seeking dedicated and compassionate CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) and Caregivers to join our team in Woodstock, Canton, Acworth and Cartersville for evening shifts, possible 4p-8p, 5p-9p, possibly longer. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized care. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in diverse care environments. All positions are paid roles, including internships, with a focus on fostering a supportive and professional work atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or long-term care needs.
  • Experience in nursing homes or home health environments.
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems.
  • Background in medical terminology.
  • CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of hospice or dementia care.
  • Excellent patient observation skills.
  • Proficiency in caring for patients with complex needs such as catheter care or medication management.
  • Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Prior caregiving experience in senior care or home & community settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, accurately documenting vital signs and medical information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Support clients in assisted living, nursing homes, or home settings by delivering personalized care tailored to individual needs.
  • Utilize medical terminology appropriately when recording patient data or communicating with healthcare teams.
  • Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
  • Engage in dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, and hospice care practices to ensure comfort and safety for vulnerable populations.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment conducive to healing and well-being.
