This position is a 1.0 FTE located at the Grace Hopper Center-Technical. The role involves organizing, developing, and coordinating classroom and clinical activities that enable students to pursue careers and further education in health and medical fields. The teacher will utilize computer and basic software applications for student recordkeeping and general office use, and possess knowledge of community resources for healthcare. Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills are essential. The teacher will instruct high school juniors and seniors in the Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences course, coordinate lab and classroom activities, and arrange for clinical, laboratory, or internship experiences within the community. Responsibilities include organizing and supervising clinical and laboratory experiences, as well as maintaining the clinical lab, equipment, and student records per authorizing agencies.
