Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
  • Two (2) years of full-time administrative experience (student experience may be considered).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
  • Career coaching experience.
  • Experience developing programs.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Experience managing/producing virtual meetings and events.
  • Experience delivering presentations.
  • Experience with databases or spreadsheets to track information and/or develop reports.
  • Project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare students and alumni for their future careers through coaching and programming around clarifying interests, getting experience, leveraging resources, developing networks, and presenting professionally.
  • Support career coaching for undergraduate, graduate students, and recent alumni for a variety of career needs: exploration, experience, networking, and job search strategy, interviewing.
  • Utilize multiple methods of service delivery: F2F /virtual; individual/group.
  • Use career tools to maintain current knowledge of the job market in a designated industry sector.
  • Prepare and deliver face-to-face (F2F) and online career readiness and preparation programs, in collaboration with student groups, faculty/staff, and engaging alumni/employer partners.
  • Measure outcomes and effectiveness; prepare reports.
  • Assist with evening/weekend programming.
  • Refer complex career coaching needs to the career coaching staff as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination of events and initiatives.
  • Gather and monitor data for in-college experiences and post-graduate outcomes, as well as career readiness, skill acquisition, and other metrics.
  • Measure and review student learning outcomes.
  • Create reports and present results.
  • Utilize multiple systems to gather and manage information.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for career-related programming, student engagement activities and events.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and department mission.
