About The Position

Goodwill is looking to hire a Part-Time Career Services Advisor for their Keokuk location. This position works with community members seeking assistance with career planning and certification training. Advisors help community members with job search activities, building computer skills, and other skill development opportunities. This role provides skill assessments for job seekers to help them locate resources and tools for their desired goals, and assists them in maintaining and using that knowledge. Career Services Advisors assist job seekers in securing employment by aiding with basic job search activities, resume writing, skill workshops, interview skills, and other employment activities. This position also assists with building and maintaining partnerships with area businesses, organizations, and schools to represent and market Goodwill resources to fit workforce needs.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree or two years of study completed from a college/university is required.
  • One year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training is required.
  • An additional year of employment in a related field may be substituted.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance required.
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle, child/elder dependent abuse background check, and sex offender registry check required.
  • Demonstrable literacy in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams/Zoom, and other computer skills required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
