AS738 - ROTA Career Nanny - Upper East Side/Travel
About The Position
A lovely family based in NYC is seeking a fantastic career nanny to assist with their bright and joyful 18-month-old child. The family splits their time between NYC and their other homes around the US, and is seeking someone to join them. While in NYC the position is live-out, so the nanny must be local and have their own accommodations. In all other locations the family will provide separate accommodations. There will be periods of up 5 months when the family will relocate to other homes. The schedule for this role is one week on/one week off, with flexibility for longer rotations during travel. The family enjoys a laid back yet organized home, and an active and well-rounded lifestyle. Multiple languages are spoken in the home and they would love to find a nanny who is fluent in a second language and willing to speak with the child in that language.
Requirements
- US work authorization
- Driver's license and confident driver
- Confident swimmer
- Local to NYC and able to live-out and commute daily to the Upper East Side
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally with ease/composure for periods of 4-6 weeks annually
- Willing to relocate to the family's second homes for up to 4 months (able to travel home during time off)
- Comfortable working around a small dog
Nice To Haves
- Enjoy engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and skiing (ideal but not required)
- Professional certifications and continuing education are highly preferred
Responsibilities
- All childcare, including meal, sleep, and hygiene routines
- Attending playgroups and classes, and proactively coming up with developmentally appropriate activities and outings
- Educationally focused, one-on-one play, reading, and playing music
- Travel with the family as needed between homes across the US for extended periods
- Travel internationally for 4-6 weeks per year
- Some basic children's meal preparation if needed
- Packing and preparing for travel
