About The Position

The College of Business and Technology at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) invites applications for one full-time instructor focused on career development in the College of Business & Technology. This position will start in late Fall 2026, pending final funding approval. This position is responsible for delivering the equivalent of 8 courses per year and service activities. Assignments may include (a) traditional courses (career); (b) short career-related seminars; (c) work with students individually; (d) engage City of Chicago industry to develop new internship opportunities for students taking the internship course; and (e) data analysis and reporting of results. This position will reside in the Department of Management and Marketing but will be delegated to work with the Associate Dean’s career team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a business or computer-science related field.
  • Ability to teach traditional courses as well as seminars.
  • Personal engagement skills necessary to engage in service activities related to career.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.
  • Relevant business experience will also be helpful.

Responsibilities
