About The Position

Under general direction, provides career counseling, internship and job search services, and outreach programs to students and alumni. This role oversees the case management of assigned active employers, assists with career services' events, and teaches a career decision-making course. The specialist markets career services to students, alumni, and faculty/staff, and coaches students regarding job search documents and employment opportunities. They create and manage relationships with existing employer partners through exceptional customer service to enhance recruiting efforts and student career development. The role involves delivering workshops and presentations on various career readiness topics, assisting in managing the employer and job approval process on the job board, and helping employers with job board issues. A key aspect is focusing on specialized programming and collaboration with designated college administration and faculty, as well as managing vendor partnerships and resources. The specialist will work with students and alumni to enhance career development in face-to-face and virtual settings, and organize, manage, and execute assigned events. This includes leading the planning and execution of job fairs and/or career readiness events, involving employer outreach, event logistics, cross-campus collaboration, marketing, and post-event assessment. The position may supervise designated staff, student ambassadors, or intern/practicum students. Participation in presentations and career readiness events outside normal work hours is also expected. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two (2) years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing the overall approval process for employers and jobs on job board.
  • Assists employers with job board issues (posting jobs, on-campus interview schedules, events, etc.).
  • Focuses on specialized programming and collaboration with designated college administration and faculty.
  • Delivers specialized programming as requested by college faculty and administration to support student career readiness.
  • Manages vendor partnerships and resources.
  • Works with students and alumni to enhance career development in face-to-face and virtual settings.
  • Organizes, manages and executes assigned events.
