It also involves establishing claims for Unemployment Insurance benefits, interpreting benefit provisions, analyzing claims for accuracy, conducting fact-finding, and maintaining Unemployment Insurance files, with a priority on serving special-needs clients. The role requires professional management of career assessment, vocational counseling, job placement, and other social services offered at the local American Job Center, adhering to Department of Labor laws and regulations, with priority service to veterans and other special-needs applicants. Excellent customer-service skills are essential to ensure optimal results and maintain a friendly office atmosphere. Assistance will be provided with unemployment insurance eligibility, filing claims, training on UI functions, and UI compensation services. The position may also involve assisting with receptionist duties and participating in team meetings and required training to ensure professional and timely assistance with workforce center duties. Utilization of office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols is also required. On-site attendance is essential for direct interaction with staff, clients, and office resources.
