The Career Coordinator position involves managing and promoting career assessment and vocational counseling services. This role requires determining client needs for employment, job skills, placement, training, and referrals within a case management system. The coordinator will ensure optimal delivery of employment services, focusing on priority services for special-needs clients and accurately recording information in EmployOklahoma. Responsibilities include registering customers for employment, unemployment services, and additional education/training, as well as establishing claims for Unemployment Insurance benefits. This involves interpreting benefit provisions, analyzing claims, conducting fact-finding, and maintaining Unemployment Insurance files. The role also requires communication with management, employers, applicants, claimants, and coworkers regarding job orders, referrals, job developments, and unemployment insurance benefits. The coordinator will professionally manage services offered at the local American Job Center in accordance with Department of Labor laws and regulations, prioritizing veterans and other special-needs applicants. Excellent customer-service skills are essential to maintain a friendly and conducive office environment. Assistance will be provided with unemployment insurance eligibility, filing claims, and training on UI functions. The role may also include receptionist duties, participation in team meetings, and required staff training. Utilization of office machinery according to safety and security protocols is also a requirement. On-site attendance is essential for direct interaction with staff, clients, and office resources.
