About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking to fill a Full-Time Career Coach position in Genesee County. This role involves contributing to the development and promotion of each individual’s business and/or vocational goals, coordinating tasks within incubator space and/or community sites, and ensuring a high quality of production of goods and services. The Career Coach will assist individuals in reaching their IPOS goals, specifically with regard to their micro-enterprise business, and ensure supplies are properly secured for each job. The position may require working on production when necessary and coaching individuals to promote personal growth and reach quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities.
- Must have computer skills and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Ability to function as a job coach for people with disabilities.
- Dependable, tact, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment.
- MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent or complete training within 30 days.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Preference toward those with an Associate’s Degree.
- Previous production and/or training experience of at least two years highly desirable.
- Experience in small business community preferred.
- Graphic Design experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
