About The Position

The Career Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Career Center and implementing strategic plans, processes, and practices. This position communicates to team members the 'long-term' strategic vision of Mission Services and how it impacts the center's daily work. The center manager coaches and develops team members. This position works closely with GoodwillSR leaders across the territory, community organizations, and business partners. The Career Center Manager is responsible for providing a culture of excellent customer service for individuals and business partners seeking GoodwillSR services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of previous work experience in a related area.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Requires a level of knowledge normally gained through completion of an undergraduate degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to model impeccable work ethics, initiative, and time management skills.
  • High level of enthusiasm, motivation, persistence, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to coordinate programs, assess program effectiveness, and prepare and present required monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Demonstrated public relations abilities to be used on behalf of GoodwillSR as a whole and career cervices specifically.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with business, education, and community organizations to ensure the center is a key stakeholder in the community.
  • Coordinates services to clients regarding the job-search process, interviewing, resumes, and all other facets of career planning.
  • Plans, organize and lead career-related activities and events such as job fairs, consulate fairs, education classes, etc.
  • Arrange staff scheduling, time approval professional development activities and training on all career center programs and technology, including the case management system, delivery of workshops in person and virtually, safety practices and client confidentiality.
  • Generates daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports required to support people served in the Career Center.
  • Accounts for the fiscal management of all cost centers related to the center; assuring proper utilization of organizational resources and assets.
  • Communicates center resources through marketing strategies with the communications department, social media, and networking.
  • Provides regular updates to the Regional Manager and/or Director of Business Engagement.
  • All other duties as assigned.
