About The Position

To effectively support the classroom teacher to ensure positive student achievement. This role involves assisting the classroom teacher by performing tasks that support the instructional program, instructing students individually or in small groups, and potentially monitoring student activities such as test-taking, study hall, cafeteria, or field trips. The paraprofessional may also distribute materials, facilitate the adjustment of new students to the program, and assist students with special needs. This is a 9-month contract, hourly/non-exempt position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Sixty (60) College Credits or ability to pass the ParaPro Test

Follows instructions, responds to management direction
Must pass Department of Public Safety Fingerprint clearance check.
Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain.
Proof of Mumps, Measles and Rubella, (MMR) vaccination.
Valid government issued identification or current work visa with expiration date.

Nice To Haves

Unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted with applications, official transcripts will be due upon job offer.
Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation, (word for word) by an acceptable translator.
Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework by an acceptable agency such as those certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, (NACES).
Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation will not be considered.
