The Career Center is seeking a Career Advisor to guide students in their career planning, develop recruitment communication strategies, and build professional networks to connect students and programs with employers. The role involves advising students on career aspirations, exploring options, discussing job and internship opportunities, reviewing resumes, administering career assessments, conducting mock interviews, and coaching on employment research. Career Advisors also facilitate workshops on job searching, LinkedIn, and major selection, and must be knowledgeable about industry trends. Building employer connections through emails, calls, and events is crucial. Responsibilities include developing new programs, updating resources, analyzing data for service improvement, and preparing/teaching a Career and Life Planning course with interactive activities and grading. Flexibility is key due to the varied nature of the work, including potential after-hours workshops or events. Success is measured by client relations, team collaboration, meeting metrics, positive evaluations, and personal growth in skills and innovation.
