About The Position

A socially conscious company is seeking a case manager to provide employment case management services for low-income and underserved job seekers in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate has case management experience, enjoys working with diverse groups of people, and is a self-starter looking to play a proactive role in helping job seekers with discovering their strengths, goal-planning, and taking actionable steps towards career development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-year degree, relevant experience and/or advanced studies in social services a plus
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience working with clients/participants in a workforce development, social services, or community-based context
  • Experience developing individualized service and/or employment plans for participants preferred
  • Experience and/or passion for serving individuals from disadvantaged and underserved populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with physical and/or mental disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Experience with Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed, and/or Two-Generational methods a definite plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and/or SharePoint preferred
  • Understanding of workforce development, employment services, and adult education a definite plus
  • Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake, eligibility screening, and job readiness assessments with participants receiving CalFresh benefits
  • Conduct community outreach for resources, training, and employment opportunities
  • Confer with clients to discuss their options and goals to develop an Individualized Work Plan
  • Manage a caseload of clients in alignment with program processes and service delivery outcomes
  • Deliver engaging workforce development and job readiness trainings for adult job seekers that relate to real-life scenarios, as needed
  • Oversee, evaluate, and case note clients' performance
  • Ensure appropriate data collection and entry into data system
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Maintain client files in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Support internal review/audit process
  • Conduct on-going follow-up with candidates sent on job interviews
  • Meet weekly, quarterly, and annual job placement numbers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current employer partners, including conducting on-site visits (when safe to do so) frequently to ensure quality of service and generate additional job orders
  • Support ongoing special projects or assignments related to the CFET program
  • Read/proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and formatting for required program documents
  • Model professionalism and inclusiveness, cultivate a safe environment for career development, and motivated clients to find full-time employment
