About The Position

This 18-month rotational program, known as the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), is designed to kickstart careers and provide experience in diverse and impactful roles at a leading Canadian financial institution. The program offers significant flexibility for participants to shape their own paths aligned with personal and professional goals. As a CAP Associate, individuals will undertake three 6-month rotations within CIBC’s Cyber Third Party and Resilience teams, including areas like Access Management and Cyber Operations. These rotations are based on personal interest and business demand, allowing participants to develop a deep understanding of Information Security at CIBC through challenging assignments. The program aims to inform career direction post-program. In addition to rotation work, associates can engage in program-specific initiatives such as internal program committees, peer-to-peer committees, and training opportunities. Comprehensive orientation, a mentorship program, and numerous individual and group learning opportunities are provided to ensure success. The work environment is hybrid, with 1-3 days per week on-site and other days remote.

Requirements

  • Graduated (in 2024 or 2025) or graduating in 2026 from a post-secondary institution with a degree in Business, Technology, or Science.
  • Desire to pursue a career within Cyber Security.
  • Proficient in MS-office suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to ask questions and seek clarity on requirements.
  • Ability to establish partnerships across teams.
  • Effective self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities, activities or projects.
  • Ability to make effective judgments as to prioritizing and allocating time.
  • Digitally savvy, seeking out innovative solutions and embracing evolving technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to new tools and trends.
  • Passionate about growing knowledge.
  • Motivated by accomplishing goals and delivering best work to make an impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees (Master's level and above) preferred.
  • Completing or having completed a CIBC co-op term is an asset.

Responsibilities
