Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous NEMT, medical transport, or patient care experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges, including wheelchair securement
• Strong punctuality, time management, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from non-emergency medical appointments, therapy sessions, and healthcare facilities
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices
• Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and documentation in compliance with NEMT regulations
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, dispatchers, and medical staff
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment function
• Follow scheduled routes while adapting to real-time changes or urgent transport needs
• Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance at all times
