About The Position

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a compassionate Care Team Manager to oversee daily operations and provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs within a group home setting. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and empower individuals to live as independently as possible. The manager will be responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring staff to foster a positive and productive team environment. Key aspects include creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes personal growth, collaborating with clients, families, and team members to address concerns and develop care plans, and maintaining open communication. The position also involves overseeing daily operations to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and state regulations, managing documentation, scheduling, and records. The Care Team Manager will respond to emergencies and behavioral challenges professionally, advocate for individuals' well-being, and coordinate services with medical professionals, therapists, and other providers. Additionally, providing transportation for individuals to appointments, activities, or community engagements will be required when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities/behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle challenges with empathy.
  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation (Must have a clean driving record).
  • Pass Background Checks: state background check and required state screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in human services.
  • Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff to provide high-quality, person-centered care. Foster a positive and productive team environment.

  • Work closely with clients, families, and team members to identify needs, address concerns, and develop care plans. Maintain open and clear communication to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and state regulations are followed while maintaining accurate documentation, scheduling, and compliance records.
  • Respond to emergencies and behavioral challenges with professionalism and care, advocating for individuals' needs and well-being.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • When needed to transport individuals to appointments, activities, or community engagements.
