About The Position

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a compassionate Care Team Manager to oversee daily operations and support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs within a group home setting. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure the provision of quality, person-centered care, and help individuals achieve maximum independence. The manager will be responsible for fostering a positive team environment, creating a safe and nurturing space for clients, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities/behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle challenges with empathy.
  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation (Must have a clean driving record).
  • Pass state background check and required state screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in human services preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff to provide high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes personal growth and independence for individuals receiving services.
  • Work closely with clients, families, and team members to identify needs, address concerns, and develop care plans.
  • Maintain open and clear communication to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and state regulations are followed while maintaining accurate documentation, scheduling, and compliance records.
  • Respond to emergencies and behavioral challenges with professionalism and care, advocating for individuals' needs and well-being.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • When needed to transport individuals to appointments, activities, or community engagements.
