Care Team Manager - Group Home
About The Position
Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a Care Team Manager to lead and mentor a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and oversee the daily operations of a residential program. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges, ensuring quality care and smooth operations in the group home. The manager will work closely with clinical teams, families, and regulators to provide a safe and supportive environment, empowering residents to live their fullest lives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Leadership capability
- Ability to motivate, guide, and support a diverse team
- Clear and compassionate communication with staff, families, and residents
- Skilled at balancing operations, compliance, and care
- Able to handle challenges while keeping a person-centered focus
Nice To Haves
- Prior supervisory or management experience in healthcare or human services
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field
- Some college coursework in human services or business
Responsibilities
- Lead & Support Staff: Supervise, coach, and develop DSPs to deliver excellent care.
- Ensure Quality Care: Oversee resident well-being, advocate for their needs, and promote person-centered planning.
- Manage Operations: Maintain budgets, staff schedules, payroll accuracy, and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Facility Oversight: Ensure the home is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with families, referral sources, and regulatory agencies while keeping leadership informed.
