About The Position

Sailor Health is building a new care model for aging, combining behavioral health, healthcare advocacy, wellness classes, and AI care agents into one virtual platform designed for older adults. The company partners with Medicare to make its platform affordable and accessible nationwide. Sailor has experienced exponential growth, serving thousands of patients across all 50 states, and is recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in healthcare. The team is talent-dense, consisting of 25 individuals in their NYC office, and is backed by notable industry founders. This role is crucial for scaling the therapy practice, growing the healthcare advocacy service line, and launching new services that will define Sailor's future. The position will own the care model, scale operations nationally, and build the case management team. Collaboration with the Clinical Director and reporting directly to the founders are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • 4-12 years of experience, ideally in clinical operations.
  • Experience building and scaling care delivery at a high-growth healthcare company.
  • Understanding of great clinical operations from an internal perspective.
  • Player-coach mentality: ability to lead a team with clarity and warmth, and willingness to work on tough cases.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to build trust with clinicians, engineers, lawyers, and founders, and to align different teams.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity: bringing structure to new and messy situations.
  • Ability to think from first principles: analyzing problems from all angles, weighing tradeoffs, and making defensible decisions.
  • Taking work personally: pride in work and deep care for older adults relying on the service.

Responsibilities

  • Build the care model: Design how patients move through Sailor across therapy, advocacy, and case management, partnering with clinical, operations, legal, and engineering teams.
  • Scale new service lines: Turn healthcare advocacy into a repeatable national operation with defined workflows, playbooks, and metrics.
  • Shape how AI supports clinicians: Help design how AI copilots reduce administrative work for clinicians, allowing them more time for patient care.
  • Lead case management and escalations: Manage and grow the case management team, oversee caseloads, and build triage and escalation protocols for high acuity cases.
  • Power whole person care: Build the connective tissue that integrates clinicians and care teams into a unified model, ensuring mental health, physical health, and daily life are cared for holistically.
  • Measure quality and safety: Track metrics tied to patient outcomes and ensure compliance with clinical, privacy, and Medicare standards.
