About The Position
Calyx Living is actively seeking energetic 2nd/3rd Shift Care Staff for our assisted living community located in beautiful North Durham off the Eno River and just minutes from Duke University, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham's vibrant entertainment district. This role involves assisting and providing direction to residents with personal care needs.
Requirements
- Must have a "safety first" attitude towards all of our residents and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
- Strong sense of maturity
- Ability to adapt to each resident and setting
- Trustworthy and attentive
- 18 years or older
- Must be available to work weekends
Nice To Haves
- Caregiver experience strongly preferred
- Must have compassion and a desire to work with seniors
Responsibilities
- Monitoring self-administration of medication
- Ensuring resident hygiene
- Obtaining and recording residents vital signs
- Maintaining safety of residents
- Completing incident reports
- Assisting with meal services
- Observing residents for any changes in conditions
