Care Partner - Surgical CVICU FT Nights - 18:45 - 07:15
About The Position
Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The environment on our unit is fast-paced, multidisciplinary, educational, high-acuity, supportive, team-oriented, and compassionate! We care for Adult patients aged 18 to 118 who are being treated for post-op recovery and intensive care for coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic surgeries, valve surgeries, pulmonary endarterectomies, heart/lung/dual organ transplant, and care of temporary mechanical circulator support, including the majority of our center's ECMO population.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following:
- Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
- Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
- Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.

Responsibilities

- Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
