About The Position

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role involves caring for adult patients 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses, including pulmonary, renal, hepatology, endocrine, and post-procedural patients. Some patients may require knowledge of home vents, wound care, and continuous medication drips, including insulin. The position is full-time, day shift, with schedules rotating throughout the week based on unit clinical staffing needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), OR
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), OR
• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
