About The Position

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The environment on our unit is fast-paced, supportive, and at times, unpredictable. We care for adult patients ranging in age from 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of neurological disorders, including acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subdural and epidural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis exacerbation, meningitis and encephalitis, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular intervention, and brain and spinal tumor resection. Our patients are unique because of their specialized neurological needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), OR Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), OR Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.
