About The Position
We are looking for a dynamic Medical Assistant in our Associates of Internal Medicine location in Beaver, PA. Strong customer service/patient experience is required. Eligible candidates must have excellent attention to detail skills and the ability to effectively function in patient registration and clinical areas as scheduled.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of communication procedures, typing and computer skills.
- CPR Certification.
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant diploma or degree program with certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in venipuncture.
Responsibilities
- Performing multiple day-to-day administrative and clinical functions to support the operations of the office including greeting and checking in/checking out patients, verifying insurance coverage, reviewing patient registration, answering telephones, taking and returning messages, scheduling and/or confirming appointments.
- Rooming patients, collecting vital signs and patient history, collecting specimens and may administer injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks.
- Serving as a liaison between providers, physician offices, medical facilities and customers.
