Care Manager
About The Position
The Care Manager is responsible for assisting individuals struggling with stimulant or opiate use disorder in need of recovery housing. The Care Manager will help residents sustain recovery through service connection and support and ensures all residents admitted into the recovery program have appropriate access to resources, and program orientation. The position is responsible for helping residents develop a recovery plan and connection to community resources (i.e., employment, benefits, identification, education) that will help sustain recovery and build stable lives in the DC community. The Care Manager will review and update recovery plans routinely to ensure residents execute their recovery goals. CBI employees must embrace the recovery philosophy and promote a safe recovery environment for clients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience working Opiate Use and Stimulant in a recovery home setting required.
- Minimum of one year of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling or related services/science or health care discipline preferred.
- Current Driver's License
- 39-month motor vehicle record.
