About The Position

As a supervisory position, the position of Care Manager Supervisor assumes advanced care management skills. The primary responsibility is providing clinical skills and practical experience to a minimum of five (5) assigned care management teams. Under the supervision of the VP, the CMS provides administrative support to the ACCESS Program.

Requirements

  • Must be able to interface with staff on all levels.
  • Meets physical and cognitive requirements to complete assigned tasks with reasonable accommodations being made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to travel within the five boroughs of New York City via public transportation and/or automobile.
  • Excellent decision making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and organization skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Knowledge of computers/word processing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold Argus Community policy and procedures (according to Argus Community's Employee Manual).
  • Be familiar with ACCESS Program Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Complete a minimum of (10) supervisory chart reviews per week.
  • Follow-up on charts that have been reviewed and discussed with the appropriate care manager within a two-week period.
  • Provide Bi-weekly face-to-face supervision to assigned Care Managers.
  • Monitor the billing activity for assigned CM's to ensure that minimum requirements are being met and meets Medicaid standards.
  • Assist with the training of new staff members.
  • Monitor sick, vacation, and personal times for those staff members supervised by the CMS.
  • Address disciplinary issues as related to common day-to-day activity of staff members with more serious infractions being brought to the attention of the VP.
  • In consultation with the VP, attend appropriate trainings to enhance professional skill development.
  • At the request of the VP, represent the agency at community, professional, and/or coalition meetings.
  • Meet with the VP on a monthly basis or more if needed for face-to-face supervision.
