About The Position

The Care Coordinator, Utilization Management (UMCC III) supports and oversees the day-to-day operational activities of Oak Street Health’s Utilization Management department. The role uses operational expertise to improve processes, optimize workflows, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the quality of care delivery. The Care Coordinator works with UM physician reviewers, external payer partners, vendors, and internal departments, and reports to and works alongside the Manager of Operations, Utilization Management. This is a full-time remote position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in utilization management, healthcare operations, or a similar role.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in utilization management software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Support oversight of operational aspects of the Utilization Management team’s activities.
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize utilization management workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce administrative burden.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal departments, external partners, and vendors.
Navigate multiple electronic platforms efficiently.
Meet standard performance and quality metrics.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
