About The Position

Clinic Business Manager / Care Coordinator - Physical Therapy Are you an experienced medical front office professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role? Interstate Therapy Solutions, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking an organized, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Office / Care Coordinator Manager to lead daily front office operations and help create an exceptional experience for our patients. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical or physical therapy front office experience who enjoys working with patients, coordinating a busy clinic, supporting a team, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of front office experience in a physical therapy or medical office
  • Experience with medical insurance verification and authorizations
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy healthcare environment
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, follow directions, and use sound judgment
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients, providers, and coworkers

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Physical therapy or rehabilitation clinic experience
  • Experience supporting or leading front office operations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and Perform daily front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, and workflow coordination
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients in person, by phone, and via email
  • Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of daily therapy notes
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations
  • Collect co-pays and co-insurance and follow up on outstanding patient balances as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the EMR system
  • Supervise and support front office team members and assist with training
  • Help ensure front office responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate with clinic leadership and the Billing team regarding collections, reporting, and front office operations
  • Maintain an organized, professional front office environment
  • Monitor and manage clinic supply inventory
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned and pitch in wherever needed to support our patients and team
