Care Coodinator Auth Scheduling Specialist
About The Position
The Care Coordinator Auth Scheduling Specialist is responsible for completing referrals for patients, coordinating with referring and receiving practices and/or departments, and obtaining all necessary authorizations. This role also involves coordinating and preparing financial estimates for patients, directing patients to providers within their insurance plan, and reviewing benefits to educate patients on their insurance coverage. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers, review schedules for accuracy and proper time allocation, and follow up on all referrals to ensure no care gaps.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Computer experience required.
- Customer service experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Thorough understanding of Insurance coverage (FSC/Coverage/Plan types) and Medical Necessity policies preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records software preferred.
Responsibilities
