About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. The position involves providing kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents. You will assist, encourage, and provide restorative interventions as needed for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Responsibilities also include participating in and leading one-on-one and group activities, serving residents during mealtime, assisting with memory care laundry, and performing basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow-up to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Requirements

Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
Basic computer skills.
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities is preferred.
CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.

Responsibilities
