About The Position

Home Instead is hiring a Home Care Assistant (Care Professional) for its Wirral branch. The role involves providing in-person care in clients’ homes and travelling between clients. Part-time and full-time arrangements are available, with working hours between 12 and 40 per week. Shifts may run from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (extendable to 7:30 p.m.) or from 4:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. (extendable from 11:00 a.m.). The employer welcomes applicants without prior care experience and describes its approach as relationship-based care, with training, support, and opportunities for career progression.

Requirements

• Be kind, reliable, honest, and dedicated.
• Have access to a reliable vehicle to travel between clients’ homes.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
• Have United Kingdom work authorisation.

Nice To Haves

• Driving licence preferred.
• Prior care experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Help with everyday tasks, including meal preparation, medication, and light housework.
• Accompany clients to appointments or shopping.
• Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and support regular, meaningful social interaction.
