Under supervision, functions as a member of a team utilizing equipment and services. Sets up, operates and monitors specialized equipment and supplies utilized for cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Functions as assistant to cardiologist or surgeons during catheter-based and devise implant procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a Radiology Technology, Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent program.
  • If not a graduate of above programs must have 4yrs of direct cath lab experience
  • Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology/Radiologic Technology school
  • Must be currently registered Radiological Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or must become RT(R) or RCIS certified within 18 months of hire or transfer
  • Current Certification (or within 1 month of hire) as American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 6 months of hire)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 1 month of hire or transfer
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 6 months of hire or transfer
  • Current license issued by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRTB)
  • Must be Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 24 months of hire/transfer

Responsibilities
