Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular systems of patients to aid the provider in diagnosis and treatment of heart disorders. This role involves assisting providers with performing stress exams, managing electrocardiograms (ECG), preparing and educating patients for procedures, administering medications, and performing Holter and ZioPatch exams. The Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for managing time and workload fluctuations, observing and communicating changes in patient signs and symptoms to the provider, documenting patient and test data, completing billing for tests performed, and utilizing and maintaining departmental and hospital equipment. The position also requires active participation in departmental, team, and committee goals, and taking ownership of individual performance goals.
