Cardiovascular Technologist (Cardiac Cath Lab) - Contract Opportunity:
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiovascular Technologist to join a high-performing Invasive Cardiology Department for a 20-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced cardiac environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The Cardiovascular Technologist performs cardiovascular procedures in the Invasive Cardiology Department under the supervision of the Cardiologist and/or the Electrophysiologist at a level not requiring constant supervision of the technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment. Assumes responsibility for designated Lab and any procedures performed in that Lab as required. Responsible for basic patient care and quality customer service. Cardiovascular Technologist working in the Cardiac Cath Lab must take call as assigned and be able to report to work within thirty (30) minutes of page/call.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Health Science program (Associate of Science degree or higher) or graduate of an approved/accredited school or cardiovascular program.
- Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS and/or RCES) OR Registered Radiologic Technologist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist OR Registered Nurse
- Current licensure or registration in the state of Florida (excluding CVT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within ninety (90) days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath and/or Electrophysiology Lab, as well as Structural Heart experience.
- Basic knowledge of hospital computer applications.
Responsibilities
