About The Position

The EP Lab CVT, under the direction of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assists the physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, and cardiac cath procedures to ensure safe patient care.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath lab or EP lab
• For less than 1 year EP experience, must have graduated from an accredited academic program with a dedicated EP curriculum and successful completion of EP clinical rotations.
• Must have a strong knowledge base in Electrocardiograms, rhythm analysis, sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and radiation protection
• BLS
• ACLS

Nice To Haves

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
• FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
