About The Position
The Cardiovascular Technologist IV assists with cardiac catheterization procedures, applying advanced clinical skills and knowledge. The position also assists the supervisor with leadership and staff development for the unit. Although posted as a Cardiovascular Technologist IV, the selected candidate may be hired at level I, II, III, or IV based on qualifications, experience, and the minimum requirements they meet. The role is based at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center and the flagship hospital for ECU Health. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to a 29-county region.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (RT-R), or an associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology.
- ARRT certification is required for candidates qualifying through the Radiologic Technology pathway.
- Eight years of experience as a technician in a Cath Lab.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Demonstration of an appropriate technical skill level in the Cath Lab.
Nice To Haves
- An additional year in special imaging (invasive) for RT-R graduates.
