About The Position
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures. As our Cardiovascular Technologist at CHI St Vincent, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.
Requirements
- At least (2) year experience as a cardiovascular Technologist in cath lab setting.
- Medical Radiographer: AR, upon hire
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
- Perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance.
- Meticulously prepare patients.
