About The Position

Cardiovascular Tech (Certified) in the Cath lab within the Endovascular room, assisting with endovascular procedures. Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, serves approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine with over 40 locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC), a 250-bed regional referral hospital with specialized centers for Cancer Care and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, and serves as the base for LifeFlight of Maine. CMH also comprises Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, critical access hospitals serving rural communities. CMH is also home to the Maine College of Health Professions, a nursing and medical imaging school.

Requirements

ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
