About The Position

This is a proactive pipeline posting designed to connect with experienced Cardiovascular Technicians interested in PRN opportunities across DLP Cardiac Partners locations. Individuals hired into PRN roles may have the opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time positions as openings become available. Placement, schedules and future opportunities will vary by location and business needs. DLP Cardiac Partners supports cardiovascular service lines across multiple partner facilities throughout North Carolina. Opportunities may be available at current and future partner locations, including but not limited to: UNC Blue Ridge in Morganton, NC; Duke Raleigh Area Hospital in Raleigh, NC; AdventHealth Hendersonville in Hendersonville, NC; Cross River in Lenoir, NC; Warehouse/Interim Fleet/Service Department in Concord, NC. Locations and staffing needs are subject to change based on business and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology required
  • Active registry or certification in a relevant clinical discipline, or completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) program
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with a thorough working knowledge of practices and experience in a cardiac/vascular catheterization lab
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Cardiac catheterization, Cardiac nursing, Special procedures, Respiratory therapy with cardiac or intensive care patients

Responsibilities

  • The Cardiovascular Technician is a key member of the cardiac catheterization lab team, partnering with physicians and hospital staff to perform a variety of cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
  • This role assists cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular cases while supporting circulating, monitoring and scrubbing responsibilities during procedures.
  • The Cardiovascular Technician provides pre- and post-procedure patient care and assessment, working primarily with adult patients in a high-quality, patient-centered environment.
  • Responsibilities also include operating specialized imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and maintaining equipment readiness in accordance with established scope, regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
