As Cardiovascular Technician II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including electrocardiograms (EKGs), cardiac stress testing, and Holter monitor application and removal. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient care settings, ensuring accurate data collection and patient safety throughout all procedures. The technician works closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic services. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. Marymount Hospital is the primary work location, with travel expected throughout the East Submarket and the ability to pick up shifts at Euclid Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, Mentor Hospital, South Pointe Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Main Campus based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • Credentials as an Allied Health Professional
  • Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG Program
  • Six months of experience as an ECG Tech and/or Stress Testing experience
  • Knowledge of EKG/Holter and Stress Testing

Responsibilities

  • Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24-hour, 48-hour, and 30-day event monitors and/or EEG testing.
  • Notify physicians, nurses or managers of abnormal results.
  • Notify secretaries of needed supplies.
  • Maintain/troubleshoot equipment and notify Clinical Engineering of ongoing problems that cannot be resolved.
  • Process test results before and following physician interpretations.
