About The Position

UT Health East Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join their Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Tyler, Texas. UT Health Tyler is the only quaternary care cardiac surgical program in East Texas. The role requires experienced APPs with strong skills in OR first assist and ICU rounding, and specifically requires vein harvesting experience. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE), inpatient only, with practice settings including OR, ICU, and floor. The daily patient load is expected to be 15-20 patients. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, with one weekend per month required. There is a 1:3 rotational in-house call duty. The EMR system used is Epic. The team structure includes three Cardiothoracic Surgeons, six Advanced Practice Practitioners, and dedicated clinical and administrative support staff, fostering a collaborative and expanding team environment.
