About The Position

Portneuf Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Heart Team at the Portneuf Heart & Vascular Institute in Pocatello, Idaho. The role involves first assisting in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries, managing inpatient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position offers access to advanced cardiac care technology and a modern hospital facility. Providers utilize Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to streamline documentation and improve work-life balance. The role emphasizes exceptional quality of life with defined work schedules and a supportive team environment.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Cardiothoracic and Vascular APP experience.
Proficiency with Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH), Radial Artery Harvesting is a Plus!
Active Idaho license or eligibility for licensure.
Certifications in BLS and ACLS (preferred).

Nice To Haves

Radial Artery Harvesting proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

First assist in cutting-edge Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries.
Expertise in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) required.
Actively manage and coordinate inpatient care, ensuring continuity from admission to discharge.
Collaborate closely with an experienced and supportive team of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, fellow APPs, nurses, and specialists.
