About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiovascular Surgeon in Worcester, MA. The role involves providing on-call coverage for Cardiovascular Surgery services in an inpatient setting. The coverage period is from June 26 to July 13, 2026, with a call schedule of 7a-7a. The surgeon will manage unassigned patient rounding, collaborate with the facility care team, maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner EMR system, and respond to beeper consultations. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) required
- Licensed in MA
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call coverage for Cardiovascular Surgery services.
- Manage unassigned patient rounding as required.
- Collaborate with the facility care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner EMR system.
- Respond to beeper consultations as needed during the coverage period.
