Requirements

• ADN, Diploma, or Foreign Equivalent
• Registered Nurse: AZ or Compact license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Maintain composure under pressure
• Demonstrate sound judgment in emergency scenarios

Nice To Haves

• BSN
• One (1) year recent acute care experience
• American Heart Association ACLS, within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide exceptional care in seven state-of-the-art CTOR surgical suites.
• Review consent forms, address patient inquiries, and conduct preoperative assessments.
• Ensure equipment readiness.
• Keep family members informed about the surgery's progress.
• Directly assist the surgeon during procedures.
• Work within a specialized staffing ratio including two RN circulators, a cardiothoracic scrub technician, and a Physician's Assistant, supported by additional clinical and technical personnel.
• Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR.
• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients.
• Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients.
