Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Technologist
About The Position
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Technologist for a Full Time, Day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. The non-invasive lab will see a mix of outpatient and inpatient clients up to around 11 per day of EKG application, stress and exercise testing and those in nuclear stress testing. This role requires EKG application, acquisition, editing and rhythm recognition; Holter/Event Monitor hook-up and scanning; stress testing; report processing and charting; and the ability to recognize and alert a cardiologist to abnormal results. The technologist will also be responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, completing department documentation, maintaining adequate supply inventory, and participating in department Performance Initiatives and the professional development of staff and students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of experience in EKG and Holter/event monitor required
- EKG experience 1 year required
- BLS within 90 days of hire

- EKG certified preferred
